CEPNZ.COMARDENT Programme©
The ARDENT Programme© is available for use in the classroom. This edition allows your school to copy the resources for use and distribution among all or any students within your school.
This resource is proving so popular with schools and as we believe the ARDENT Programme© will greatly help our students to achieve, we have made the new price affordable for all schools.
The CEPNZs' ARDENT Programme© is a six-step self-assessment and goal setting programme. It helps students to become more enthusiastic about life, learning, the way they live, interact with others, clarify their own set of values and how they can transform the development of good character, based upon their goals and values, into personal proficiency, happiness and success.
This programme is ideal for use among "problem" students. The CEPNZ believes that most attitudes and anti-social reactions and lifestyles exist because the person does not have clear goals in life and their values system has been clouded or influenced by a habitual 'peer' mentality of a group they feel they belong to or they are trying unsuccessfully to shape their world to meet their needs instead of changing themselves.
The CEPNZ also considers that one of the main reasons why teens turn to alcohol, abuse, vandalism, truancy, graffiti and crime is because they do not have a clear idea of what they value in life or who they really are. This resource will help them to clarify their present personal perspective on life and encourage them to want to make changes for the better, eliminate bad habits and develop new habits based on higher, pro-social standards. Through the ARDENT Programme© this clarification process is made easy by following the six-step plan to becoming more enthusiastic about life and participating responsibly in school and society.
With that aside, this programme is ideal for all students wishing to excel or improve their chances of achievement and success.
ARDENT, by definition means, "passionate, full of enthusiasm, eager, zealous, fervent, ardour (an eagerness or passion)."
The six steps of the acronym of the ARDENT Programme© are:
- Assess - your current situation, the way you live and why you act as you do.
- Recognise - where any faults are, how your habits affect your life and the alternatives to your current reactions to situations.
- Determine - what your strengths are, what areas of your life need to be improved, what your personal values are and determine your priorities in life to achieve self-esteem and success.
- Employ - good character and success-strengthening principles into your life, your priorities and values system.
- Negate - bad habits by replacing them with pro-social and pro-achievement principles reflected in your new-found priorities.
- Transform - your life into one of good character and personal achievement, knowing what is most important in your life and live a healthy, happy, enthusiastic, and productive life.
The chapters and assignments on this CD-ROM guide through each of these 6 steps that lead through a personal evaluation and decision making process to determine the changes wished to be made in an individuals life for the better. "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing" (Helen Keller).
