Nationwide Attendance Service
A Division of the CEPNZ

NASThe Ministry Of Education has stated, "Most principals commented that they see significant potential for making more use of support staff." One of the the "most effective uses of support staff in secondary schools is in the appointment of an attendance or truancy officer to monitor attendance and follow up absences."

Now the CEPNZ has made it easier to reduce your staff workload by following up on your schools non-attendances without the necessity of employing another full time staff member.

Wherever your school is located, the CEPNZ can now follow up on all non-attendances of students for you. All you need to do is email the names of the absent students, their parents names and contact details to the CEPNZ and we will:

All information is kept strictly confidential between your school and the CEPNZ, ensured by a signed confidentially agreement sent to you upon registration.

The cost of this service is $396.00 per month (less that $100 per week!) payable in advance by direct credit or cheque. This includes GST, follow-ups on up to 100 absences per week, mailing of standard letters to the parents of regularly absent students, a monthly written report and statistical analysis of all non-attendances and follow-ups.

This figure is discounted during months that include term breaks - You do not pay for our services while your school is officially closed for more than 7 days. You can cancel at any time with 30 days notice in writing.

Should the CEPNZ be unable to make calls on your behalf on any given day, you will be notified and given a 5% discount (per day) on your next months account.

Compare this figure to the cost of employing an in-house attendance officer and you will easily see the savings your school can make.

Email to the CEPNZ from MoE: "I noted with interest your advice about the truancy management products and services that CEPNZ offers to schools... As the Ministry of Education does not have a direct role in the purchasing decisions of schools, I encourage you to continue to engage directly with schools about the products and services you offer"
Hon. Trevor Mallard, Minister of Education as at 25/5/05
